Effect of the FFAs on the levels of ALDH1A1. Cells were treated with 0.7 mM palmitate or oleate complexed to 4% BSA. Control cells were treated with just BSA. After 24 h of the treatment, RNA was isolated and the transcript of ALDH1A1 was quantified by RT-PCR. Data presented as mean +/- s.d. of n = 9 from 3 independent experiments.
