For each perturbation size (knockout depth) we plot: -○- the frequency of lethal gene interactions, left axis; and -◇- the absolute number of lethal interactions, right axis. For sizes 1,2 we use the true numbers, while 3,4 are based on 2 · 106 samples each (about 10% and 0.1% of the total interactions space, respectively). For all sizes we only count lethal gene groups for which no subgroup is in itself lethal. Compare with -△- for experimentally derived frequencies [5,10] for 1D and 2D interactions.Back to article page
