For each of the six disease clusters extracted from the disease map, the figure shows the top 15 GO biological processes ranked by the preponderance value described in the Methods section. This analysis reveals biological functions which are most strongly associated with a certain disease cluster compared to all other clusters. The most preponderant gene classes reflect meaningful features of corresponding disease groups, such as metabolic processes in cluster M, cell cycle and apoptosis functions in cluster C, or genes involved in neurotransmission in cluster N.Back to article page
