IGFBP and IGF2R demonstrated an additive effect when examined in combination. Model simulations of different combinations of IGF2R and IGFBP levels indicated that increases in IGFBP and IGF2R would act together, but would not synergize, to counteract IGF2-induced phosphorylation of IGF1R
