A semi-automatic workflow for horizontal model integration in three steps. The first step is the ‘Preparation of SBML Models’. The second step is the ‘Structural Model Integration’ of two SBML models that results in a merged model. This is to be checked for consistency with experimental data and eventually reparameterized in the ‘Behavioral Model Integration’ step. Several iterations of consistency check and reparameterization may be necessary to obtain an integrated model that can explain all experimental data.
