Strategy for identifying potential therapeutic targets for muscle atrophy. We have a list of marker proteins showing different phosphorylation status in atrophic compared to reference states. Gene K inhibition on the atrophic state recovers their phosphorylation status to that of reference state, whereas gene Q inhibition deepens the phosphorylation status to that of atrophic state. Thus, in this example, gene K has more potential to be a therapeutic target for muscle atrophy
