The colors in the heatmap represent the kind of regulation (induced/depressed) and the degree of reproducibility for each data set captured in the N-biclusters. N1 to N5 represent the data sets from 3 different labs. N1:(Wang et al., 2003); N2: (Wang et al., 2004); N3: (Scheible et al., 2004); N4: (Palenchar et al., 2004); N5 (Gutierrez et al., 2007). The details of the experimental conditions of these data set is described in Additional File 1. N-bicluster 9 had the greatest degree of reproducibility over the greatest number of experiments.
