Model parameters that affect protein half-life. Results are shown for a typical simulation, for a 12 hour period. Protein synthesis was blocked by setting k₁ = 0 with all other parameters as in Tables 2 and 3 except where indicated. The curves show the decline in total protein with time. The half-life is the time when the total protein level is equal to 250.
